I don't think anybody has proved that he didn't get hit in the head by an errantly aimed bottle of some kind but they are using their story proved or not.
After spending a fair amount of time searching you tube, I have yet to see a video of protesters throwing bottles, rocks or anything else at police. From what I've seen so far, the police in Oakland went way too far.
You aren't searching very hard or you are getting on pages that come from only protester phones and not from news photogs.
Do you know the text of the foundation document of the U.S.?
The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.
Fourth-grade American history.
The OWS was intentionally organized around nonviolence.
Around non-violence but the planners knew that violence would resist if the movements were allowed to go on long enough.
Do you know that the English have found that in the Occupy London thing only about 10% of the tents are occupied at night? How about the woman who found a number of people at Occupy WS who admitted to going home to spend the night? They aren't what they claim to be but then people like you think that they have freedom of speech. Do you know that that freedom extends to the nose of the person who has to smell them or listen to them? I don't think that you of the progressive bent really understand freedom of speech or assembly. Those clowns in Oakland had been ordered out and refused to get out. Hang in there with your progressive interpretations on the Constitution.
Interrupting commerce and creating tent shanties in the middle of major American Cities has NOTHING to do with the 1st Amendment. They have the right to peaceably assemble, but not the right to interfere with the health, safety, or business interests of any particular place.
But these progs are very willing to go along with the far left organizers of these things and that means they don't care at all about the rights of anyone else.

Of course not. They hate the Constitution too, but are always willing to stand behind it and distort its words and meaning to fit their twisted agenda.
