Way to go guys! The business community knows the House will never allow liberals and their insane economic policies to come to fruition. Now if we can just take back the White House and Senate, we'll be trucken ahead at Chinese-like rates.

Boehner blasts Obama on economy: Sidestepping Congress is ‘laughable’

Quote:
“I thought we were a nation of laws and that our country was governed by our Constitution,” Boehner said.

“There’s more of an interest in our founding principles than at any time in my political career,” he added, “and when you talk about the founding principles, you realize that Article I gives the Congress of the United States the power of the purse, and that the president has powers under Article II.

“And this idea that you are just going to go around the Congress is just, it’s almost laughable. And so we are keeping a very close eye on the administration to make sure they are following the law and following the Constitution.”

I disagree with Boehner. Side-stepping Congress is not a laughing matter. It's dangerous.

That is slightly down from 2.6% average in 2010 so it is more of a relief to know that despite their best efforts the Republicans have failed to cause a double dip recession.

Ok my turn, Woo hoo Obama! From one of the biggest stock market plunges in US history under Bush, to bringing the market back to a soaring success! This is what happens without the right wing goons in control

I'm really proud of the GOP for sticking up for the middle class and the wealthy and allowing the environment for the poor to succeed. The liberals want everyone to suffer like the poor, but the GOP does not. Way to go GOP!!! It's great to know that, if I make a lot of money in an honest way because of my hard work, some mean liberal won't be there to snatch and tell me how bad of a person I am.

The private sector is finally realizing that the House will not let Obama sabotage the economy for his own personal gain.

It looks like if the GOP has been deliberately trying to hobble the economy in order to discredit Obama in 2012, then apparently they've been doing a pretty lousy job of that too (of course what else is new...)?!

So better get back to work, boys, and try harder re: "Illegals", "Anti-abortion", "Anti-gays", "Union-busting", "Anti-Teachers", "more favors for Wall Street", "further tax cuts for the rich", etc.... just keep on like you've been doing, which is working on everything except JOBS!

"Congrats to the GOP lead House for blocking all of Obama's bad ideas thus allowing 2.5% GDP growth!!!"

I'm dying to know how not reducing the deficit, and not repealing a single regulation has helped GDP grow, and then attempt to claim credit after that not having removed a single thing that was previously claimed to be a hinderance to economic growth.

Democrats have enough votes in the Senate to pass this.

Democrats are the ones who are blocking it.

Some Democrats are blocking it. Tell the truth.

Who is blocking the jobs bill?

Democrats.

Good luck selling this balony.

Tough luck, GOP, the United States of Amnesia is no longer. The GOP intransigence and over-reach of the past two years, and the Occupy Movement, has really woken this country up.

What is the GOP going to do next year, when the Obama Recovery is in full swing, and they no longer have the economy to run on? Start yelling for his birth certificate again?

You better hope all those voter supression laws work- you're side's gonna need 'em
