Republicans (and the democrats) that are circling like vultures to introduce this new online sales tax are absolute scum. They are trying to unconstitutionally tax online sales of goods in the U.S.... Have we not learned anything about taxes? They are just going to make sales from overseas sellers more attractive and put online stores here out of business. I'm sick and tired of this government constantly taxing the middle class to protect the wealthy from paying any taxes. It's sad to see the last inkling of free market, the internet, become the new tool for the cronies in Washington to extract nore and more and more from the American people. That means you Senator Lamar Alexander and Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyoming and anyone else that supports this. Where is our hijacked tea party on this? Another scam , the tea party has become a joke.....one has to question if all they really care about is protecting the rich and getting the black man out of the white house.
Democrats are, as usual trying to stir the class warfare pot! Ad nauseum...and like playing the tattered, old "race card" it gets old, but thankfully most folks continue to see right through it.
The GOP'ers in my crowd want a flat tax. They also have wisdom and know that the Dems. always encourage their voters to "bite the hand that feeds them" by pushing for raising taxes on the rich. The rich, ya know...the class that provides the MOST JOBS.

Here in California, it's the Democratic reps in Sacramento that have already shoved this bill through and Jerry Brown, our VERY Democratic governor signed it, over the objections of the Republicans and the people of the state.
Tell me again how the Tea Party has anything to do with this?
Strange how very closely aligned some of these politicians turn out to be, isn't it?

You don't have any idea what you're talking about.
This sales tax holiday should end. It's not they are adding something new, but that they are adding something which should have already existed at the state level. The fed has to get involved because states have failed to pass online sales tax laws on their own.
I don't see why anyone would think that taxes should apply to B&M purchases and not online purchases. Tax all or nothing.

Although I live in a state with no sales tax and therefore would not be affected, I find this reprehensible. And no doubt both Repubs and Democrats will be making deals to get it passed, and deciding who can most "get away" with voting for it, with the least chance of paying for it with their jobs.
Unfortunately, as long as Big Government exists and continues to spend like drunken sailors, they will NEVER stop trying to take what little we have left. I'm surprised they haven't already ruined the online markets with their insatiable taxes.
Both parties are sellouts. Gotta keep those 15% taxes on the rich. That is their main goal. Jobs-snobs....that is the biggest myth created by the ruling class. Small businesses are the backbone of this country. Look whose lobbying for this - Walmart, best buy and target. This policy is anti-small business and is making a mockery of the constitution. The elite love to change the rules to constantly keep the middle class down.
