Without drawing much attention to it yet, one of the leading groups promoting same-sex marriage has taken an interesting tack, one that implicitly acknowledges the complicated relationship between gay Americans and another minority group not firmly on their side.

As for the OP, doesn't surprise me, despite it being rather ironic that one of the most mistreated minorities has no problem oppressing other minorities, but then blacks aren't known for high education levels and it's usually the more educated parts of society that understand gays aren't the debil.
When they turn gay officially, ie. coming out and trying to align themselves with blacks.
Well I'm black and I do not support same sex marriage. But I put my money where my mouth is by not being apart of the political party that helps and supports that. That is one of several reasons I am republican.
Perhaps because blacks know from personal experience what it truly means to be a real minority group. And therefore resent the completely bogus comparison to their experience that we so often see from "gay" activists.
"Gays" are as much a minority group as people who dye their hair green or tattoo their tongues.
People think Mormons were responsible for the passage of prop 8 in California. They are wrong, the normally liberal black vote was almost 70 percent for Prop 8.

Not likely, since Atlanta has the 3rd highest percentage of gays in the nation, and it's over 60% black.
