I hope americans get that. But I would like to know if americans think like that. You get that for example that over in Europe Bachmann and Palin are laughing stocks right?
Are americans embarassed at all how their country is portrayed to the rest of the world?

I'd like to think that Europeans are smart enough to know that there are also plenty of educated Americans in the U.S. too who would never consider voting for those two.

I don't care.
Imagine the peoples of Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal laughing at American politicians who claim the need to get America's economic house in order. No my friends, what we really need to do is follow Greece's economic leadership.

Do Europeans get that us Americans think most of Europe is a laughing stock?
Are Europeans embarassed at how the continent is portrayed to the rest of the world?
From what I've seen by actually reading the stories and editorials, both before and after 2009, they think that Obama has made America a laughing-stock.
According to the ambassadors and dignitaries from around the world that my parents hung out with, Obama was attractive to 'the rest of the world' because he appeared easy to push around.

I think that Europe should concernt themselves more with their failures than they concern themselves with 'laughing' at Americans.
Seems stupid to me that they would have time to mock anything here when they are in such dire straits.

People who have never been to Europe shouldn't believe what one poster says, and should really get out more before deciding that an entire continent is a laughing stock.
Anyone who says that, hasn't been outside of their country, regardless of where they are from.
