I've seen many posts on here and other sites where people compare homosexuality to not following rules, (they compared the former DADT policy with someone being kicked out for being drunk or breaking a rule etc.)

or to a drug addiction.

the funny thing is they never compare their own sexual orientation to these things or see it in this way, they just see it as a trait that's not chosen that has NOTHING TO DO with these things but is more akin to hair color or sex.

BUT

when it comes to homosexuality they don't see it this way, but that's EXACTLY what it is.

homosexuality feels JUST the same as a homosexual that being straight does to a heterosexual person. it's not a THING like breaking a law but a part of your born identity that was just always there that you never really thought of. i wouldn't even think someone would DREAM about SEEING in these ways.

why is this?

Because we live in a patriarchal society, where male dominance and macho bravado reigns supreme. Any deviation from that view, where men are seen as taking on a more female role is viewed negatively. Hence why so many straight guys think lesbian porn is hot, but call gay male porn disgusting.

They don't understand that the gay brain is literally wired differently. Gays biologically and psychologically cannot feel the kind of attractions to the opposite sex that straights do, just like straights cannot feel attraction to the same sex.

This is a topic that is probably always going to be extremely controversial like abortion. People like you think it's okay and there are people who believe it's wrong. Just the way it is. Just get over it is all I say. But the Bible does tell us that homosexuality is a detestable sin and an abomination. That's why I believe it's wrong, it doesn't seem right for people to be with someone of their gender...

No it doesn't. Have you have really bothered to do in depth research on the so called "5 clobber" passages? Or are you content to just assume out of context, English verses altered by Conservative Bible publishers in the mid 20th Century is sufficient to condemn hundreds of millions of people?

Out of over 37,000 Bible verses, only 5-6 even mention same-sex activity, and 1) Every single one refers to pagan worship practices and 2) 2 of them are in the Torah, which all Christians ignore anyway.

Are you so absolutely convinced you cannot be wrong about this, that you are willing to explain to God why you showed no love to gay people, and turned them away from him with your condemnation?

Matt 7:2 “For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.

Every time I read one of the threads involving homosexuality, the comments from the anti-gay posters make me more supportive of gay rights. Their arguments seem so preposterous and hilarious.

I guess they make the distinction between being a homosexual and engaging in homosexual behavior.

The Bible isn't the Word of God, Jesus is. Might want to educate yourself. I honestly think you're a Poe.
