Well that's what we're laughin' about.
You see Obama as a Centrist.
I don't know what else to say.

Again, I am in total agreement with you.

If anything, I wish President Obama was more progressive.

You mean his black color. Face it, you are a closet racist. It comes through almost every one of your thinly veiled, bigoted posts. No one is fooled.

You can't handle a black president and neither can a lot of other conservatives who claim the "old America" is slipping away. It's all code. No one is fooled.

So you run the whitest candidates possible to rally your troops against the black man: Mitt Romney, Gingrich, Perry.... oh yeah and threw in Cain to make it look like you're so accepting of people of color. No one is fooled.

Your hero Ann Coulter said "Our blacks are better than their blacks." If you can't see the racist undertones of this cynical conservative party, you are in denial. So all you have left is to scream at the top of your lungs in panic. Get real with yourself.

He is very much a centrist. Perhaps you should actually learn something about politics and history, and not the garbage you get spoon fed by the snakeoil salesmen Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and the rest of the right-wing media cabal.

Any smart, rational adult with the tiniest perspective can see Obama isn't some radical socialist, nazi, communist, facist, radical left-wing terrorist like the right-wing talk-radiot/Faux News machine has duped you simpletons into believing!

This poster hates any non-Conservative.

They hate Americans.

I'm sure it has been a long process.

I think it became CLEAR that something was seriously amiss when McCain decided to proclaim Palin as his sidekick. While the Bush administration had certainly displayed a number of missteps, they were still seen as relatively "normal" Republicans.

The nomination of Palin, however, made it incredibly clear that the GOP had become more concerned with endearing a more extreme fringe group. Once that fringe group received validation and, ultimately, a voice by such nomination, they felt empowered enough to push their agenda.

Add to this that Republicans had gotten quite insulted by the constant criticism and derision of GWB. If you remember, many domestic and most international news purveyors had little positive to say, but certainly did not hold back with negative news about this administration. They made GWB out to be a really bad joke. Thus, it was time for some good old retaliation and Obama was the natural target as the next Democratic president.

Once demonized, Obama's policies were clear anathema to the agenda pushed by the right fringe group within the GOP and these people began to scream their message louder and louder.

Propaganda has always held that if a message is repeated often enough and by enough (highly visible) people, it starts to appear truthful and simultaneously representative of a much larger group.

Thus, the GOP seemingly adopted a much more whacked out political stance in a belief that doing so was catering to the wants and needs of potential voters.

The people who have been tossed around as potential GOP candidates aptly reflect such belief. Therefore, these candidates are quite appealing to those who have bought into the more extremist perspective. However, they simply make everybody else shake their head in disbelief that such loons would even stand the sliver of a chance.

Candidates should, ideally, be a party's best and brightest (although reality often looks a bit different) - I, for one, cannot believe that what I have recently seen on TV could possibly be all there is.

To me, it's a very sad indicator that the GOP has completely lost its way. I can only hope that they find back to a more moderate pathway.

Yes, I mostly lean to the left - but not staunchly so. If there were a reasonable GOP candidate, I would certainly support him (or her, if we ever make it that far). Alas, I don't know too much about Huntsman, yet - then again, being a Mormon, I gander he really doesn't stand much of a chance.

Oh here we go, with another liberal thinking they know every republican and what they believe.
I believe in science. God created it. I believe in common sense, and wish you guys had some. I believe in government. I believe that it has a place, but not a big in your face, must control every aspect of your life, place. And there are crazy communists in the liberal coommunity. Obama is friends with them.

I don't think he is a Nazi or a Socialist but he certainly displays some Socialist tendancies. I can understand why some people may be dissapointed he is not more liberal but to hear someone say they honestly believe he is a centrist is pretty suprising. Does this mean you would classify Bill Clinton as a Right Wing politician?

It kind of makes me wonder if people really understand the core differences between liberal and conservative. Just so I can get a read, would you mind naming off a few things Obama has accomplished that you would classify as "Centrist" in nature?

LOL - not worth it. Based on his other posts, the guy you are addressing is not too far way from shaving his head, donning combat boots, and running through the streets yelling White Power.
