I disagree that there is no God. Some of us are quite convinced of the opposite.

If the seconds count, apparently you're not living in a safe place to begin with.

If other countries are less safe, then why are most of the high school shootings events that occur in the US??

Take away guns, reduce the danger. Plain and simple.

Peace,
brian

Old woman shoots MP40 Machine gun - YouTube
Found it kinda cute :P
Though I'm against guns, other than the anti-tank weapons and howitzers we export to your armed forces of course...profit

If you really need protection, try one or all of the following:

1) trust in God

2) call the police
or
3) move to a safer country.

Peace!
brian

1. I do trust in God.

2. The police are there after a crime occurs.

3. No country is safe anymore.

America leads the world in guns per capita:

So it's not surprising to see so many Americans all happy about guns. It's the culture.

It also fits the wiki definition of barbarian: "a brutal, cruel, warlike, insensitive person"

Peace (not guns),
brian

Dumbest thing I have ever heard..... You could say...

Take away cars, there will be no accidents...

Take away cigarettes, there will be no cancer

Take away casinos, there would be no gambling

You could criminalize all of the above and people would still do it. The difference is that in America, regular people are not treated as criminals and allowed to legally own guns. Whereas, in Europe, you need only not care about the law to own a gun (criminal).

You'll notice upon careful inspection, that I didn't write that eliminating guns would eliminate danger, but rather reduce it.

The problem, aisi, is the mentality of the people. There is a widespread mentality in the USA that "the boogeyman is out to get you" and that you "need a gun to be safe."

In reality, neither of these beliefs are realistic, whether in the US or abroad. (Ironically though, drug addicts are very prone to such paranoic obsessions...)

Living in fear is a terrible thing..

Peace!
brian

brian,

I'm glad that you mentioned school shootings. Schools are number one on the list of prohibited places for carrying firearms. This clearly illustrates the failure of gun control.

Living in denial and praying to plastic statues that represent false beings is even worse. I truly feel very sorry for you.

Beside the fact that he's a lousy shot, I see no reason why he shouldn't be allowed to arm himself.
The only crime I see is a waste of good ammo.
