Yep. Trying to help gay people who are killed, gang-raped, and tortured for being who they are is a total and complete waste of time.

So over the line. Who cares about those gays. What a petty cause. Tsk tsk.

How would you feel if you could be killed just for being yourself?

Could not find anything else to spend our tax paying dollars on, helping gays abroad, this is such a crock.\\ I don't see any Countries from abroad, that use their tax paying dollars, to help Gays in this Country! Or helping us in anyway.
The president is calling for all countries to withdraw foriegn aid to other countries that make laws against homosexuality. Please explain to me how this or any of the other measures he's suggesting is going to waste/use any of your tax dollars.

That video of Iran hanging gays is so upsetting. I can't even watch it, but I've seen pictures of it being done.

So absolutely disgusting that human beings would hang people for that. If there is a Hell, the Iranians who support such barbaric practices belong there.

I'm gay and I do get that. Straight sex sounds absolutely gross to me. But I don't hate straight people cause of it. I'm sure that's the case for a lot of straight people too. But there are straight people advocating to ban gays from having the same rights as straight people...including the right to life in some cases.

This is about denying aid, not granting aid; correct?

If this is all about denying aid to countries who violate the rights of gays, I have no idea why anyone would be against it. With that said, my general philosophy is that we need to be cutting back on foreign aid in general; I do think countries where there are egregious civil rights violations, including those against gays, need to come first.

Because of a job I used to have (I quit cause I couldn't sleep anymore), I listened to story after story of gay people being raped with objects, imprisoned and then raped by the prison guards, being lashed, burned, sensory-deprived, and tortured in other ways I can't even begin to describe.

Not only that--because the Qur'an says nothing about transsexuality and the government is run according to Qur'anic law, the most recent "solution" has been to force gays into having sex changes when they are in fact not transsexual. It's legal and partially funded by the government, and includes a name and sex change on all documentation. The sad part, though, is that the people getting these sex changes aren't transsexual. They are gay people, who want to stay their own sex, trying to fit into society somehow.

That sounds absolutely horrendous.

This was in Iran?

Yeah, I heard about the sex-change solution. Iran is a very evil place.

The US is a bunch of busy bodies. I don't give a GD about Iranians, straight or homosexual.

Why do Iranians even flaunt their sexuality. To hell with 'em, and to hell with Yemen also.

Don't even get me started on Paraguay.
