It's not so bad though, right?

After all Brazil is a nice country as well.

Apparently, you seem to think so. You've been complaining about a supposed lack of social mobility in America this entire thread.

I've merely reminded you to look at the reason why that may be... America is the country of the super-rich because there is opportunity in America. Unfortunately, America is also the country of the super-poor because those receiving public assistance have a birth rate 3 times that of those who actually earn the means to support themselves, save and invest, and accumulate wealth.

We are a country of super-poor because the super-poor are exponentially outbreeding everyone else, enabled and encouraged by a government that PAYS them to do nothing other than breed.

That is HEAVILY skewing the stats.

Why is social upward mobility higher in Europe than in America?
What is social upward mobility anyway? An opportunity to offer your personal efforts to aid those less fortunate? Or you really just want a ticket to Presidential Ball? You can control both.

Doesn't America think Europe is a bunch of Socialist with a bloated welfare state that doesn't get anything done?
I'm willing to bet that most citizens of the U.S. aren't concerned with what Europe is. Probably far more Americans are aware of historic U.S. protections of Europe.

Why is it easier in Europe to go from poor to the middle class than in America?
Depends on whose effort, cash and labor.

Isn't Free Market Capitalism supposed to be superior to Social Market Capitalism?
Free Market Capitalism is what you make it. No socialism required. Key words... Market and Free

No, I think it's because no one will deal with the problem. What do you want to do? Cancel all welfare programs and let people who "overbreed" starve to death? I guess that's the american way.

Why should anyone receiving public assistance have any births at all? They cannot afford to care for the children they bear. Why does lack of personal responsibility carry no consequences whatsoever for them, while forcing the productive members of society to part with increasing percentages of their income to support such exponentially increasing blatant irresponsibility?

Yep, now tell us exactly WHY the poverty stricken think it's a good idea to have 3 times as many children as those who can actually afford to take care of the children they bear?

Default Enough:

I am sooooo sick of reading that European countries are "socialistic" ? Total Nonsense.

And if you want to use that argument and get away with it, than you have to admit that the US is socialistic as well!!!

Or are you telling me that Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security are inventions of capitalists to benefit the few rich people in the US ?????

What is so different between these three systems and the system European countries have?????

2 of those systems are for retired people, 1 is for the poor and indigent.

I don't think it ever occurs to anyone that a lot of American ideology is inaccurate propaganda and just patently wrong, lol. I'm seeing people reach these conclusions like "Hey, does anyone else think Reagan wasn't as good as people said he was?" Well, duh.

The hypocrisy and blatant lies America has its citizens believing is just wrong, but it worked......So that only shows how dumb we are.

Yes, it is. Climbing the income ladder is available to every healthy and reasonably intelligent American. Millions of us have started with nothing and made quite comfortable lives for ourselves.
