You are correct and the most recent confirmation of your statement was in 2008 when the majority of American voters selected Obama for president.

Yes, cancel all welfare programs. No, don't let anybody starve to death.

Why do you think that the only solution is a government solution?

When Pizzaro came to the New World, he burned his ships. As a result, his men were well motivated to succeed, since there was no going back.

And here's another example:

110 Million Households

46 Million Households receive Food Stamps

99 Million Households have cable, satellite or both

88 Million Households have internet.

If you would just cancel the damn cable bill, you'd have enough money to buy food or pay for your own health care.

Default Are you kidding ??????????

I have run a business in Denmark for 7 years , also in Germany , Sweden and Norway . If you think it's easier to get ahead in Europe you are extremely misinformed or plain ignorant . Denmark taxes your income from 40-70% , over $50,000 U.S. , 60 plus % . There is a 25% sales tax on everything . Every item here is at least twice as expensive as in the U.S. if not 3x . There are " special " taxes on certain vehicles up to 130% of value . I pay over $100 per month tax per vehicle on compact Toyota pick-ups , " oversized " . The goverment sets your hours and requires you to pay full salary pregnancy leave . Easier over here ???????? You don't have a clue about what you're talking about .

Many did just that, and found it shockingly much easier to get ahead. Take Denmark. Worlds highest rate of business startups.

Of course, what makes it so much easier to get ahead in places like Denmark, is the social capital the kids get growing up. Everyone who has the drive and ability can get a good education. And if you want to start your own business...you know something? Outside of the IT field, most people in Europe who starts their own business are people in their late 30s or 40s who feel they know their area inside out and feel they've gone as far as they can working for others.

People that age have famiies, and are just starting to feel their bodies decline. In America they need the health care their employer provides. So...no lean and agile startups to compete with their employers. Who can grow slow nd ineffective with the lack of small competition.

People sometimes made it out of their social layer under feudalism. Those few exceptions does not mean that there was good economic opportunities under feudalism.

What is so different between these three systems and the system European countries have?????
you are right and that is the reason the U.S. is declining, why do you think we are yelling, stop Obama and congress particular the democrats, from continuing the fundamental transformation into socialism Obama promise he would fundamentaly transform the U.S. now we see what he meant, european style socialism!

Taxes in Europe are substantially higher than in the US, and that's been the case for decades.
