"Truly sucks" is an understatement. How the average American can turn on the radio these days without barfing after the first two minutes goes completely over my head. It's never been this bad.

It depends on the radio station. I listen to jazz and classic rock stations and haven't wanted to barf so far.
jealousy is one reason, country's in western Europe don't like the fact that they are now insignificant on the world stage and they used to be the center of it and other country's are jealous that they are insignificant and never where significant.
Huh? Have you ever traveled? Most Europeans just think we're loud and crude, and I hate to say it, but I've seen plenty of American tourists who do their best to earn that reputation for the rest of us. Europeans aren't jealous--I promise you that. They just think we're vulgar.
We have lots of great things though--we're self confident, enthusiastic, inventive and optimistic. Until recently, we were one of the few places in the world where tomorrow really could be better if you just worked hard and had a little luck. We don't have a rigid social class structure--that's huge. I love to travel, and I've been lucky enough to do a lot of it, but I also love being American.
