No, not the reason why we are in decline. But the reason why we won't be able to reverse this decline.
We can't reverse the decline because the welfare-dependent are outbreeding everyone else at a rate of 3 to 1, and only 49% of income earners support 100% of the country. That will result in nothing other than continued decline.
I agree America is in decline. I don't agree that most cornbread and apple pie loving American's are in denial. Those of us who have been paying attention see the fall of this great nation and have seen it coming for years. And I don't hesitate for one minute to attribute the Lion's Share of the decline to Liberalism, the Welfare State, and Entitlement Mentality.
Eventually you run out of other people's money.....a concept that Liberals have never been able to embrace.

No, it was much more accurate the second time around. The konservatives in this country have not only been dedicated to a Forever War on credit but they have been trying to reverse not only the New Deal but the very Enlightenment that placed Reason over Religion. We are not so slowly sliding into a theological tyranny ruled by a hypocritical aristocracy with no political, civil or economic rights for the disenfranchised and impoverished masses.

It's just the liberals application of the ideal costs a lot more than a conservatives application of the ideals.
Liberals want to apply the ideal by progressive regulation.
Conservative offer the choice to join the application. If one chooses not to join, the conservative will just move on with out them. A free market sort of option.
