What public transportation?

Outside of San Francisco and NYC, good public transportation in the US is not a realistic option for people because it doesn't exist. Besides, only commies use public transportation. Real Americans get around in their Hummers and Escalades!

sadly, true most of the US has no mass transit or infrastructure. i seriously question posters who talk about car-pooling.

i lived in S. florida and the south. ...Americans are too selfish to car pool and MOST of this area has no trains or buses. Its the reality no one talks about.
