-Homosexuality is not natural - Neither are eyeglasses or clothing
-Gay marriage will lead to polygamy, bestiality, object marriage, etc - Polygamy maybe (this should be legalized anyways), but animals and objects cannot say "I do"
-Gays can't have children so they shouldn't be married - many heterosexual partners cannot have children for one reason or another
-The Bible says its wrong - Not everybody believes the Bible or interprets it in the same way and we have religious freedom in this country to choose our faith or lack of
-Traditional marriage is only between man and woman - traditional marriage has already been destroyed by a 50+% divorce rate the past few decades
-It's "icky" - in a diverse society we have to tolerate things we don't necessarily like, such as obesity, smoking, etc
-It will destroy the family - many heterosexual parents are already doing that by neglecting their children
-They have equal rights to marry a person of the opposite sex - They cannot marry who they love so that's not equal

Anything I missed? Is there one argument against gay marriage (in a civil sense) that cannot be quickly debunked?

The left is always quick to point to science. Well how is this for science:

The only reason that life exists is to procreate, then die.

The only reason that man exists on this planet is to make babies and then die.

Man does not exist to engage in hedonistic butt pleasures, no matter how much you wish it to be so.

Marriage is an institution created to further the goal of making babies, and raising those babies.

Refute.

Yep, the penis goes in the vagina, not the butt hole.

So you're suggesting that heterosexual couples should be tested to see if they are capable of producing offspring, and if not, the marriage certificate is denied?

Just like you cannot convince a racist that blacks are actually human beings of equal worth, so is your attempt at convincing this segment of our population bound to fail. Intolerance is a much stronger argument than reason when somebody is emotionally invested.

I agree bchris, except on the polygamy thing. Polygamy should not be legalized (or at least polygamous marriages shouldn't be recognized).

BTW, I can make a very good conservative argument for gay marriage.

I think that human beings should rate themselves a little higher, that we are here to enhance the experience of living through manmade inventions, producing fine art, building societies, etc. We are not simply here to reproduce. That's what animals do. We are not animals, although sometimes I wonder.
