The photographs uncovered reveal disturbing images. Some allegedly show Berndt with his arm around the children or with his hand over their mouths, according to a statement by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. In addition, authorities say the images depict girls with a blue plastic spoon filled with a substance, later determined to be semen. There were also photos of children with large, live Madagascar-type cockroaches on their faces and mouths.
Child molestation on this scale should automatically receive a sentence of death by firing squad.
The sentence should be carried out by blind, arthritic midgets.
I read the details into this case today. I just can't...I just don't understand how any human being can be so damn evil. This monster should never see the light of day again. I hope what ever prison he's sent to, that they have his trial on in the rec area every day. I thought I've seen and read it all.
One of the most disturbing parts of this horrific story is that none of the 23 children came forward to say anything. But, maybe the reported fact that a couple students had come forward 10 years earlier with disturbing complaints about this teacher and had their complaints dismissed indicates why kids don't say anything. They doubt anyone would believe them. Hopefully, this will change following publicity about this and the Sandusky case.
I read the article carefully when it broke and have been trying to keep up. It's particulary werid that I can't see anything about "sexual molestation" as in SEX, or even taking off the kids clothing. I have no idea what this dude was about with wanting kids to taste his sperm and with the cockroaches...disturbing (and twisted) indeed!
I agree that it's odd that no child ever said anything..my kids complained about EVERYTHING.
I can't get the article in the OP to load, but the one I read on CNN last night ended with an interview with the guy's neighbor. The neighbor said something to the effect of, "Yeah, I've always known he was kind of a freak. I'm not really surprised."
How much of a freak would a person have to be so that when someone is told about them committing acts as horrendous as these, they respond with, "Eh, I'm not surprised."

Why is it that AFTER they are caught, the neighbors always say they were freaks?
The truth is, the neighbors didn't have any idea. Like any good predator, they hide what they are doing very well for a while, until they get lazy and slip up.
