I generally lean right but hope the economy recovers even if that means another 4 years of Obama. That said, I see no evidence with my own eyes that things are getting better and in fact in my area things are actually getting worse. Since bottom in March 2009, things have pretty much just stagnated. Basically this is an L-shaped recession. The last time we saw this was in the 1930s. The period from 1933-1937 was much like today. The stock market recovered and corporate earnings were up, but nobody was hiring and for the average American it was as bad as it had ever been.

Liberals...stop lying about the economy. Obama has accomplished much, the crown jewel being the end of the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy, but he has done nothing whatsoever to improve this economy.

and Obobo the Socialist Clown's plan is working - right from the Cloward-Pivens playbook.

I think Obobo One Don't Knowbee's boys are really fudging the unemployment numbers. It's all about reelecting the Number One Loser.

Worst President in history. Biggest Liar ever in the White House. A man whose ethics make Dick Nixon and Woodrow Wilson look like saints.

Bull, or rather bull market. The DJI is near double since that low in March 2009. Up 100% is stagnant? "Your own eyes" aren't seeing that? Isn't that an economic indicator? You cannot see that one?

When you choose to ignore traditional measures of economic activity, when you what to use alternative measures of employment data, and when you shout about negative indicators while ignoring and/or questioning positive indicators you might be a wingnut.

There are positive indicators EVERYWHERE, just because you wear blinders doesn't mean they're not there. Here is one for you, make this fit your talking points, especially table c.
Productivity and Costs, Fourth Quarter and Annual Averages 2011, Preliminary

We know your leadership put causing Obama to fail as the number one priority and we know about the record filibusters to prevent Obama from enacting his policies. Tell me, where are Boner's jobs bills? I thought the GOP run on JOB CREATION in 2010, why has the focus shifted to causing more pain, why is softening up Obama this way the only way to a GOP victory, are you guys that insecure or just that weak?

Funny, the senate minority leader is on tape saying as much. Defeating Obama is his number one priority, not job creation, not deficit reduction, not national security, not the wellbeing of America and its people....

Kids say the darndest things.

That is ALWAYS the goal of the opposition party. No surprise there.

The bad news of course, is that 1.2 MILLION have been "adjusted" off the rolls.

So under obama, the workforce has been shrinking dramatically...but as long as that rate comes down, all is ok, right?

Explaining Obama’s Fake Job Numbers | Conservative Byte
I never understood this point

When President Bush, President Bush the first, and Reagan used the exact same formula for jobs, Republicans and their supporters tout them as being the greatest thing since sliced bread.

But when a Democrat does it, well the numbers are just an illusion.

I think the unemployment formula should be changed, you'll get no argument from me there. But berating Barrack Obama for using the same numbers, and the same tactics many supported with other Presidents, well, is hypocritical.
