Buy a reliable car and that eliminates Chrysler by default.
Truth. Cars depreciate enough without buying an unreliable money pit. That alone would keep me from buying a Chrysler. They were in trouble for a reason, and never should have been bailed out.
I disagree. Look at it like this. Let's say we let those companies fail. Who are the only automakers left besides Ford? Foreign. Now the only choices we have are foreign and Ford, the two F's I don't like. There are for more foreign car makers than Ford. Then all of our money would be siphoned out of this country. The idea is to KEEP American dollars, for the most part, in America. Letting the American companies fail allows for the foreign cars to reign. Not good for us. Not only that but the government is supposed to PROTECT competition. By letting that many car makers fail would cause a huge problem with car maker oligopolies. Basic economics.
Additionally, many of the foreign companies are subsidized by their governments. The true cost of their product is not cut and dry. So do we want only cars subsidized by their governments not ones subsidized by ours? We pay either way but we don't get the same benefits for our economy and our people.
If anyone truly thinks we have free market capitalism in the US or anywhere else in the world they are delusional.
Chrysler is a bailout company, and is a slave to Obama.
If you wan't an American car, buy a Ford. If you want an Italian car, don't buy a Chrysler.
and this just shows what mental midgets the Obama haters are here!
