"Romney said last week that he supports regular increases in the minimum wage to keep pace with inflation, a position he took as a candidate for president in 2008.

In recent years, Republicans, backed by their allies in the business community, have opposed such efforts, arguing that raising the minimum wage would reduce employment."

Romney
Why can't the Right make up their freaking minds!

One moment, they say that everyone should be rich and earn more money and people who have nothing should aspire to have something more.
They claim they are for the "working, hurting middle class".

Then when the unemployment rate goes down..the Right are there to attack the numbers.."those jobs are low paying jobs! Bah humbug!".

So once again, the Right proves to everyone, they only care about the rich and big business. They don't care for the working poor and middle class. Doesn't the GOP have any shame?

Romney is as much a conservative as Kim Kardashian is a virgin.

The only true conservative in the race is Dr. Ron Paul.

The wage contract between a private citizen and a private potential employer should not be a subject of parental government.

I suspect many Republicans simply won't vote in this upcoming election. Many more so then Democrats.

Romney is for a mandated healthcare system. He is for making catholics provide the option for birth control. He is for a minimum wage.

He sounds more like Obama then Obama does.

Then Romney is a RHINO.

There's no constitutional basis for a federal minimum wage. The concept itself is an oxymoron.

A minimum wage is solely within the purview of a State. If a State believes that a minimum wage is necessary, and it isn't in all States, then it will establish a minimum wage based on labor market conditions in the State.

Employing common sense....

OP...lets suppose you're a rich guy walking the sidewalks of Anytown USA. You look around and you see American's going about their business. They appear to be doing what everyone else is doing, including you. The difference is you have loads of money in the bank, you earned it, but you up until this point you haven't felt obligated to give it to others just for the sake of giving. What would you do to "help" these people? What do you think a rich person should do to help ordinary Americans?
