Samuel L. Jackson said he voted for President Obama because of his color: “I voted for Barack because he was black. ’Cuz that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them,” the actor says in an outspoken interview in the March issue of Ebony. Jackson sounds off on his feelings for Obama to writer Kevin Powell, saying: “That’s American politics, pure and simple. [Obama’s] message didn’t mean [bleep] to me. In the end, he’s a politician.
He wasn't the only black person that felt that way. How many other people voted for McCain because he was white? How ironic that racism does not discriminate because of race!
In 2008 my son was 17 but some of his friends were 18. They were all seniors in High School and the ones that voted for Obama did so because they didn't like "the old guy".
Now, at that age I can totally see their reasoning. They are HS students living at home with not a care or worry in the world never having set foot in the real world yet. Politics never entered the picture with his friends. In fact some didn't even know which party Obama belonged to
Wow, could you imagine if a white actor said.........
Well, no. Because white people have a completely different history. Every presidential candidate for 230 years has been white. But if you don't think many whites voted against Obama just because he was black, you're mistaken.
