Congressional Black Caucus chairman Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), speaking in the strange voice of someone who is passively observing his own bodily decline, acknowledges that African Americans should be angry, and that the only reason Blacks are not marching on the White House is because the president is Black. “If we had anybody else in the White House,” said the Kansas City congressman, “with this level of unemployment, that you know, you would see a lot more African-Americans, African-American organizations and retro organizations speaking out against it. (quote from black agenda report)
obama isn't getting criticized by many in the black community simply because he is black. (at least half black).
obama doesn't face the same scrutiny that a leader of any other race else would face by the black community-and he knows it.
The highest levels of unemployment this country has ever seen has always been while white presidents are sitting. Unemployment began to fall imeediatetly after Obama's election. 600,000 jobs per month were being lost during the last two years of the Bush administration. It is nowhere close to that now. Cleaver is wrong and if you believe he is not then you are also wrong. He is also wrong about what he perceives is an outpouring of love for Obama because of his black skin. If what Obama experiences everyday is unconditional love because somehow no one dares ruffle a hair of his sanctified head then I'd rather be hated.
I voted for the Rino in hopes he would step aside and give it to Sarah!!
At least she thinks American when she looks at the people, not their nationality.
that is exectly what I thought when I voted for RAINO!!!!!
Somewhere around 90% of blacks already voted Democrat before the 2008 election. I don't see this as a major factor. If Samuel Jackson wants to be a racist let him, doesn't change my life any.
That is power for the course, and he is at least being honest about it. No different then some yonger black people i know of. Who also stated to me at that time, we are going to have a new black President. And said to me, they were voting for Obama strictly on the color of his skin.
Asked them about qualifications, and policies, and they said to me, did not matter, we are going to have the black guy as President. And they too were honest.
Wonder if they are beating them selfs up now.
I agree to a point what nightflight said. Should a white person say he or she is going to vote for someone because the person is white, ha, this would be a different story.
Last election was the only time in history when America chose between a white candidate and a non-white candidate. Obviously if both candidates are white you're not going to vote for one of them "because they're white". I have the feeling we'll start seeing a lot more of that come election year...

I spose it changes mine an itsy-bity bit.
It lowers my opinion of one of my favorite actors.
