Just as conservatism has many shades, so does liberalism. A conservative is not any more a Facist or a Nazi than a liberal is a Socialist, or a Socialist a Communist. Nazism was the most extreme end of conservatism in it's philosophy. Both extremes were tried, and both ultimately failed.

You could say Nazism in some ways was an extreme end of right wing philosophy but it's really far beyond the limits of conservatism.

Nazis were against virtually everything that American conservatives want to conserve -- religion, strong values, free markets, personal and economic freedom, etc. Nazism is not an extreme form of conservatism. It's a whole separate philsophy.

If a society approves socialism, then so let it be them that bask in it. Until then, no one should be the victim to it. Being charitable should always be a choice not a requirement. Why should underprivileged people be entitled to someone's wealth? What have they done to make themselves privy to it? It is not the job of the wealthy to care for the welfare of society.

People must take responsibility for the repercussions of each and every decision they make. Learning from their mistakes and continuing to educate themselves is what will make them successful.

We're already broken to a broken free-market capitalism. Why not trade a system which doesn't help, with a system that does?

Actually, yes it is. This isn't about success. There are lots of successful people that the wealthy rely on, and these people will never, no matter how successful, be wealthy. You can be fantastically successful at garbage collection, but no garbage collectors are going to be multimillionaires no matter how much work they put in. That's simple fact.

Not everybody wants to be dirty rich. People just want to be secure, and the price of the rare, incredible success that the wealthy have accrued--sometimes at the expense of "the undesirables," means they have a greater burden to supporting society. No one sane is demanding the top 1% hand over all their money, but they do have great dues to be paid towards the functioning of this nation that they benefit from--including all the peons.
