Indeed, and I think there are valid reasons not to choose circumcision as well as valid reasons to go forth with the procedure and specific reasons to do so during infancy.
I just don't like people trying to stigmatize circumcision as mutilation. The penis remains fully functional and sensitive to sexual stimulation and most men are perfectly happy being circumcised (and I suspect most uncircumcised men are also happy with the state of their penis). But if the procedure could become more popular at birth in parts of the world plagued by HIV then it could make a huge difference in the quality of life of those individuals and communities.
Who is feeding you this bull? And aren't you female? How would you know what the difference is in the sensation? Your boyfriend or whatever other few men you claim to know are "happily" circumcised, do not speak for everybody.

It's just plain true: 98% of us circumcised guys are completely happy. That and the only guys I went to school with that wern't were Foreign. We said they had doggy sausages. Kids were so mean back them. Maybe in the future the untrimmed kids will be insulting the trimmed kids
So does washing with soap and water. If washing is good enough for female genitalia, then it's good enough for males.
there is a lot more to it then just washing. Have you discussed this with a doctor? Have you even bothered to read the question? It doesn't say should all parents be forced to circumsize their sons, the question is: should parents have the right to choose? The answer is: yes, they should have the right. You made a decision, what would you have thought if you hadn't been given that right?
No, several doctors, the CDC, and the WHO told me that.
Quite an interesting set of doctors you've got to believe in. So, how does HIV and STD rates compare between western Europe and the USA? Do you have anything more than these claims?

Outside of kiddy issues in schools and around for "cosmetic reasons", what makes you happier than those uncircumcised?

I don't know, HIV and STIs in general aren't anywhere near the problem in the US and Europe that they are in other countries/continents. I believe someone has already posted a link showing that areas of Africa and Asia where circumcision is common have much lower rates of HIV than those where circumcision is uncommon.
Riddle me this, UE: if circumcision has been proven to significantly aid a decrease in the prevalence of infection and disease, then why is it that most certified physicians do not encourage it? How could they consciously be indifferent towards circumcision if it was indeed the healthier option?

But when comparing western Europe (lower circumcision rate) to USA (higher circumcision rate), your ideas or those promoted by these doctors you speak of, don't stack up.

Circumcision is common only in Muslim countries. Like Jews, Muslims have to be "cut".

How do you know most medical doctors don't encourage circumcision? Do they actively discourage it? Are these doctors worldwide or just in America? It seems strange considering how many anti-circ parents feel their doctor tried to bully them into it.
