Getting free condoms or contraceptives like sex was a medical condition.

She should put a can for donations by her bed.

The GOP was a party of common sense people who led in business and industry, or aspired to lead in those areas. It is not "PC" to be disgusted by Rush right now, or the rest of you who support that type of language or attitude. It's basic decency. When--EVER--in the modern GOP has access to or the use of birth control been an issue until the last month with some of you far right crazies. You are not republicans.

Kudos, mb1547; it takes courage to stand your ground when juvenile attacks are made against you, and some of them made by women who are so thoroughly indoctrinated that they'll turn on one of their own. I'm sorry that you're under fire, but it is clearly helping you to see the sorry state of common decency in America. These "men" and their female parasites will go after you without a qualm, in part because Limbaugh has made it
"acceptable" to engage in a game of "How low can we go?" Those who have no self-respect can't show respect for others, no matter the circumstances. And not ONE of the four GOP candidates nor any party elders have come forward to denounce Limbaugh...spineless and shocking.
The fact that Limbaugh has been married four times reflects his inability to
treat women with any sort of regard, and I suspect that the most egregious posters in this thread have relationship issues as well. They either know nothing of true conservatives like Theodore Roosevelt, Jacob
Javitz, Nelson Rockefeller and, of course, George Romney, or they have become so addicted to the pleasure of hurting others that decency no longer matters. Pathetic state of affairs, is it not?

Insurance is already providing contraceptives to everyone--including you, if you have health care coverage through an employer--without additional charge on your plan. Churches are exempted. The issue is if private corporations that are not churches, and do not do the "business" of a church, but have a church affiliation through their board (like a hospital or university), should also be exempt. Catholic hospitals and universities are already included in the mandate to provide birth control in 28 states through state law, and the catholic church agreed to it in those states.

Why was this woman or others insulted when this almost lawyer lady came to congress asking for sex welfare? She was and is pathetic.
She should get the $9 a month for pills from the men in her life or by recycling cans and bottles.
She needs to use her head, not become another form of welfare dependent.

Because she wasn't asking for sex welfare, she was asking that her insurance cover treatment for stuff like endometrosis and ovarian cysts.
