I understand that Americans, from the beginning of their new secular order of the ages,
have been taught to be secularists. I do not expect anything else from Americans... but
Americans must understand that not everyone shares or wants to share their secularism.

I used the word hero and the word "worship" [in quotations.]

My meaning was = to honor and revere a hero as an ideal....
much like the Church reveres God's saints who have lived and
died for Christ.

It's sad there are so few heroes today to honor and revere.

I will ask again .. Why this incessant need for a hero?

Why this need to revere someone else?

Aside from the idea that Christianity needs a former KGB agent to 'defend' it, the notion that a country that doesn't even have a blue-water navy is going to doing any global defending of any sort is amusing.

What's he going to do? Demand that Christian-oppressors everywhere cease and desist on pain of having their vodka and borsht supplies cut off?

You've already told me you are your own person and that suffices for you.

Again... it must be a East/West difference.

The Russian Navy now [again], flies the Tsarist Cross of St Andrew flag.

With God, anything is possible.

TOO cool to hear this. A preacher-type-dude that really doesn't sound or act like one, that I have followed for many years has said since at least the seventies that Russia would become more like the US and vice versa. He was not speaking from a geopolitical viewpoint but merely from principle. (dude is at www.fhu.com)

Here we are...apparently.......Russia is becoming more Christian and America is becoming Communist. What a trip.

It really does look that way .. doesn't it?

There was a report yesterday about a preacher being arrested outside of a DMV station .. reading the bible 'out loud'.

The station was 'closed' but the cop said that he (the preacher) was interfering with the people's right to conduct business .. at the station! (implied)

The anticommunist ROCOR [Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia]
is now in communion with the ROC [Russian Orthodox Church.]

This reconciliation was facilitated by Vladimir Putin.
