The right-wing has re-defined the meaning of "scandal." Why? Because they have nothing substantive to criticize the President with. They're all cursing that the economy is improving, so they can't use that. Iraq has wound down. So, they make stuff up and create false outrage.
"Because they have nothing substantive to criticize the President with."
$4.00 per gallon gas may hit $5.00 dollars this summer, 8-9% permanent unemployment, lowest workforce participation rate in three decades, skyrocketing food prices, Afghanistan is blowing up in our face while the Iranians continue to build atomic weapons, we wage war in nations we are not at war with and execute US citizens without due process, etc...

In other words, you wingnuts got NOTHING. The best case you can make for your side include not one word about your candidate or what your party would do different. Your whole campaign is going to be about attacking Obama on nonsense and things outside this country's control.
Fact, Iran doesn't have a bomb, probably never will. But if they did Israel won't have to attack Iran because we would. Look at any map of the region, we have Iran surrounded and have three carrier task forces just off their shore. Last time I check I think there are 38 US airbases within striking distance of Iran, in Saudi, Iraq, A'stan, Pakistan, Turkey....
Good read about Obama, a play about Alinski, and what these radicals believe.
It really is a shame that the media never talks about Saul Alinski and how he has influenced how many of our politicians think.
Obama is a radical and this is just the tip of the ice berg. Shame to those that agree and follow Alinski, and shame to you that accept a man who is an Alinski disciple.
What's truly radical is dredging up 50 year-old nonissues like contraception and trying with all your might to turn it into a rallying point.
Alinsky's attempts to advocate for the working poor only look radical to those without a teaspoon of information.

Yes, and some places had drought and others floods -- all unrelated to President Obama.
As far as: -- $5 Gas = Long, Hot, Crazy Summer
Gas goes up and down and U.S. policy has little to do with it.
-- U.S. Unemployment Up in February
Obama's expansionary policies are working as there has been 24 months of straight employment gains -- contrasted to solid losses before taking office.
-- President Obama's incredible shrinking labor force - HUMAN EVENTS
People leave the workforce for many reasons, including death and retirement. As the labor pool ages, we'll get more retirements. It has nothing to do with President Obama.
-- War In Afghanistan 'Unwinnable' According To Poll
President Obama didn't start the Afghanistan War but pledged to end it. His policies are what the generals endorse and the GOP candidates haven't made any lucid alternatives to current policy.
- Iranian's Nuclear Program
Santorum said he would start a war. The other GOP candidates have all espoused what they would do and it happened to be what Obama is already doing.
Buzzard is right, you've got nothing, so the GOP uses the spaghetti method -- through everything against the wall and hope something sticks.
Gingrich's secret love affair with Saul Alinsky's tactics
Quote:
Saul Alinsky is a name most people don't know, so why does Newt Gingrich drop Alinsky's name at every opportunity without explaining who he is? Because it is not what the Republican presidential candidate says that counts; it is what his audiences feel when he says it.
"Saul Alinsky radicalism is at the heart of (President Barack) Obama," the Republican presidential candidate said on CNN last weekend.
"I believe in the Constitution; I believe in the Federalist Papers," the former speaker of the House told a Jacksonville, Fla., audience Monday. "Obama believes in Saul Alinsky and secular European socialist bureaucracy."
Can you feel it? Talking about the late, great Chicago-based community organizer this way is a "dog whistle," in political lingo. It is heard in special ways by those who are tuned in to the conservative blogosphere, which can't seem to get enough of Alinsky, especially when it enables bloggers to link words like "radical" and "socialist" to the former Chicago community organizer now sitting in the White House.
Having covered some of the Chicago community groups that Alinsky helped launch, I find Gingrich's demonization to be ironic. In many ways, the Georgia Republican has more in common with the Alinsky model of activism than Obama does.
Obama, by contrast, only reluctantly turned to a personalizing and polarizing populism in recent months, after almost three years of fierce obstruction by congressional Republicans. Many Obama supporters urged him to get more Alinsky-tough — like Gingrich.
In fact, quite a number of conservative-thought leaders hate Alinsky but love his books. His advice shows how to get results, regardless of whether you're a lefty or righty.
