How many voting machines still don't have a paper trail and what is being done about them?

Lets see you need state ID to vote huh. The states in most cases uses a digital system to record your image. I wonder how many times the con. who are for this will now have there mugs on camera systems so they can be watched by Big Brother. Every movement can now be followed. The police state they wish to create will wind up eating away at the freedoms they crave. They think the GOP will protect their individual rights to privacy all the while they give these rights up. I hope the image on their ID is good to prevent mistaken ID from all those systems that watch every move they take.

That would disinfranchise so many people down here especially in Northeastern North Carolina. A lot of elderly African Americans from that part of the state don't have birth certificates, because back 60, 70 years ago the state was segregated and hospitals would not let African Americans in to give birth ergo no birth certificates.

That is also a reason why voter ID laws that require presenting a birth certificate for issuance of IDs rather then other documents is such a big problem.

Actually one has nothing to do with the other.

The claim was it was going to cost.

Right off the top of my head I know of SC, Rhode Island, Georgia and Tenn. I am sure YOU are capable of doing your own research to find others.

Then they should get one! You can't tell me that they don't exist. Nothing should jeapordize a fraud free voting system. No excuses.

That is exactly what I am telling you. They cannot just get one because they don't exist. Southern states and particularly in rural counties really didn't care about black people 60-70 years ago. So they often would not even bother to do something like record a birth certificate.

I would like proof of that. How have these blacks been functioning in this country for 60-70 years without a birth certificate? I'm not buying it. Anyway, if you can't prove you are a U.S. citizen then your constitutional rights will not have been denied when you aren't allowed to vote. It all comes down to proof of citzenship to gain the constitutional right to vote.

As the Obama DOJ has stepped in to stop these laws it will cost the taxpayers, again, hundreds of thousands of dollars to challenge it in court and IMO, the DOJ will loose.
Name one state that has passed or attempted to pass the voter ID laws providing free ID's,

Pennsylvania

Provides free Photo ID for the poor.

Most welfare people can get a free photo ID and in any state.

Maybe they need to give up their Dish Network and give off the couch and earn the easy 10.00 for a photo ID if they cannot get one.

Betting most people who whine about not being able to afford one smoke, drink or have high end cable.

No photo ID, NO VOTE period.

No more excuses.

Get a job or two.
