Oh brother. Listen, you can re-write history all you want on this. But, when historians look back on the Bush years, they will see a president, his administration, with the collusion of his own party, manipulating and playing up the fears of a nation suffering from a massive terrorist attack to lie us into a war they said wouldn't cost money. You can try and and say everyone was complicit in the 8 year debacle known as the Bush administration, but we all know who the blame primarily rests on.
And a DEM CONTROLLED Congress went along!
And let's ignore what many of them felt and said long before Bush came onto the scene.
Why cant the Republicans ever take personal responsibility and accept the fact their policies screwed up the country? They keep trying to re-write history and make it seem that those "dang big gubmit liberals" were also complicit in their failures.
List the liberals who supported revamping Fannie and Freddie...

What you seem to fail to understand, is that Congress is one body, and the President and his administration is another. Blaming the President for what Congress did or didn't do is intellectually dishonest.
Question for you. If what you say is true, and I am not saying it isn't, then why is it called Obamacare?
In addition, it’s worth noting that Democrats were in control of Congress beginning in January 2007 — and Congress is where legislation, including appropriations and tax legislation, is passed.[/i]
Tell me what bills the Democratic congress passed without Republican support. Then tell me what bills the Democratic congress passed by overriding Bush's dusty veto pen.....then tell me what difference it makes to have the Republicans destroying the country vs the Democrats destroying the country.
You're not interested in objectivity I see. I believe it's abundantly clear that those who try to pin the Great Recession on a single President are those who believe willful ignorance is a virtue. Are you part of that crowd? I sure hope not.
Really? Perhaps this will help you jog your memory! The Recession according to the CBO started in December of 2007 or roughly 13 & 1/2 months before President Obama was sworn into office!
Facts are "painfull" aren't they?
