For now anyway.

Idaho's forced ultrasound bill is dead - Spokesman.com - March 27, 2012

Hopefully Loertscher won't be reelected and won't have his opportunity to raise the bill from the dead in 2013.

It seems to me that the north of Idaho is more libertarian, the southern part seems far more republican and more evangelically based. Also, a lot of LDS in the southern portion.
I've been told my older locals that north Idaho used to swing to the democrats and the south to the repubs.

Yeah, I would suspect that it's the LDS influence that was behind this. Do you happen to know how our North Idaho senators and reps voted on this?

Our local people voted against it.

Here’s how North Idaho senators, from District 1 through 6, voted on SB 1387, the pre-abortion ultrasound requirement:
Voting in favor: Sen. Steve Vick, R-Dalton Gardens.
Voting against: Sens. Joyce Broadsword, R-Sagle; John Goedde, R-Coeur d’Alene; Jim Hammond, R-Coeur d’Alene; Shawn Keough, R-Sandpoint; and Dan Schmidt, D-Moscow.

Yup, but people who truly believe in Liberty and Freedom for ALL Americans (even women ) should still be vigilant against Repug's ongoing war against women (and yes, I saw some Repugs voted against it but how long can they hold out on a bigger stage?)

I wonder if they are afraid the 9th circuit would overturn it.

Funny? No repugs in here backing those Republicans who voted against it.

Oh, ya, the intelligent Republicans are called RINO by Repug pouters.

Guess Repugs are just sitting in a corner writhing in frustration...LOL!

Havn't you folks heard? The war on women is yesterday's news. Time to stoke the racial fires now. Get with it. Do what your media and president tell you like good little soldiers.
