I've always been under the impression that it's pretty typical for women to have ultrasounds performed prior to the procedure anyway. At least that's what I've heard, don't really have a source to site, but it makes sense that prior to an invasive procedure the doctor would want to visualize the area to be operated on. If that's the case it's not a matter of whether the procedure is to be done (because it will be) - but rather whether the woman should be forced to look at the images that will be obtained either way.
(Some pretty bizarre images come to mind - what are they going to do, pry her eyelids open like in Clockwork Orange?)
The Oklahoma legislature is worthless. Those cronies couldn't care less about serving the people of Oklahoma.

Well, maybe cause 80% of women seeing the BABY choose life.
That's just plain false. “We haven’t heard of any women who, after going through these steps, are saying, ‘No, I’m changing my mind.’” The Texas law has been in effect for a little while now with no reduction in abortions. It's all about bloating government in order to shame women, it has little effect on abortion numbers.
They don't object to it. They object to "requiring" it. Again, money and time matter whether you like it or not.
You're beginning to see the problem with an over reaching government.
I prefer that ALL women see an ultrasound before having an abortion, just to dispel the myth that a "fetus" isn't a human, but I don't want government mandates.
Just like with obamacare.
