The hearings were set up by republicans with almost no witnesses with an opposing point of view, they denied Fluke an opportunity. Hearings should be fair an present both sides. So it's alright having religious leaders testify in an almost entirely all male cast but Rep Issa rejected Fluke because she was an "activist". Who would you expect to testify from the other side, someone with no interest in the issue.
Nancy Pelosi was the contact for Fluke and set up the "hearing".
