There is no point in picking extreme spots as most people live somewhere else, namely in the cities. I could pick just as extreme spots from Northern Europe, but nobody cares as only very few people live there.
Here is the climate data of Anchorage, the biggest city:
Anchorage, Alaska - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
75 inches of snow per year.
More sunshine hours than Central Europe.

Americans greatly value physical attributes above all: muscles on men, boobs on women. Size matters.
But, in the intellectual department Americans don't place much value. Same goes for emotions.
The dominant two emotions that Americans express without reservation are hatred (for others) and feeling offended.
Gentleness gets mashed beneath the American mob's boots.

How is that possible unless for whatever the US imports mainly pornography movies from Europe that you obviously watch?
We do get mainland European movies available through netflix in the United States and the vast majority of them just show T&A to show T&A.

Sexuality is a normal element in a number of movies. And why not? In my view sexuality is much more a natural part of life than flying bullets and car chases.
It's still explotation to sell a product. I'm fine with explotation movies and they sometimes can be fun to watch by trying to call it refined is a load of BS.

Most movies I see over here are about society and other soft topics. What I have heard Americans say is that European movies are boring, which I understand to a certain degree as they tend to be much slower and usually there is no action with stunts, bullets and such stuff that Americans are used to.
They tend to be slower paced more then most american movies but there are american movies that are slow paced as well.

Frankly, unless you speak local languages you won't even understand such movies. You will constantly be either reading poorly written subtitles or guessing what they might be saying.
This goes both ways.

Anchorage got 129" of snow this winter, and it may snow more this weekend. Valdez got 424.1" of snow so far this winter, and it is also a city. Both McGrath and Tanana have seen -75°F and -76°F respectively, and they are also incorporated cities. Like I said, you are completely clueless.

I watch only European and American movies, that is all they show here, apart from an Asian movie every few months or so.

So, who picks those movies at netflix? Probably people who picks those movies because they appeal to Americans. They would not make the effort to have movies subtitled when they knew hardly anyone will watch them.

Not necessarily. There is a huge difference between movies that are all about sexuality and those where sexuality plays just one of many roles.

They tend to be slower paced more then most american movies but there are american movies that are slow paced as well.

Sure, and those are mostly independent movies. Quiet and slow movies seldom become successes.

This goes both ways.

Theoretically yes, however almost all Europeans speak English thanks to mandatory high school English classes from grade 5 on, whereas most Americans don't speak foreign languages.
Blue looks nice

Why do you think people are moving away from there at that rate?

Tanana also has fewer than 275 inhabitants left.

Valdez gets lots of snow, but it is milder there than in Minneapolis, and people are moving away from there, too, according to the census data.

We didn't get where we are today by being yellowbelly cowards. Many forget that in modern days. If there is one thing a redblooded American can't stand, it's a "soft serve". At least for men anyway. For women, they'll always find some other thing (unimportant) really good about the guy and like him on that ground. The rest of us want to hurl!

We didn't get here by typing on a computer either. What's your point?

I'd rather impress the women than the men, sorry. It's cool if you're that other kind of guy, though...
