Any sane person has to be baffled, when it takes a collective that tries to sell "fiscal conservatism" while making every attempt to maintain status quo on health care which has seen a dramatic decline in America over last decade (if not more), and costs the governments over a trillion dollar every year.
Sometimes diplomacy doesnt work. Chamberlain found out the hard way, as did Croatians, Rowanda, etc.
The world doesn't want the US to intervene militiarily, unless it wants us to.
Diplomacy does work. It just takes effort. Not just one act, but many. We need people in government who aren't drunk on beating their chests and dancing to war drums.
It can happen, and does. But America is NOT leading the way in this regard. On the contrary..
1812 some american cities were burned in the civil war. 200 years ago!!!! Many of the inhabitants of Dresden and Hamburg , London and Coventry that had to indulge firebombings are still alive today. You don't want compare the firebombings of ww2 to burning down cities in the civil war 200 years ago, do you?
Lol, shouldn't you be telling us how to calculate IMR?
The US wouldn't be doing this though if those countries weren't asking to become part of NATO and for the missile shields now would it? The cuban missile crisis is a rather bad comparison since Fidel was begging Russia to nuke the United States...quite a bit different situation then what the U.S. wants with NATO expansion.
You have an interest not to get into a shooting war with them, but you also have an interest not to be dependent on them.
Well, I support Russia when it does not want NATO at its doorsteps.
Poland is just sucking up to the West in order to benefit, it has been a solid, independent country for a while now and there is no reason to assume that will ever change again. Russia is on the defense here, not on the offense.
We ARE dependent on Russia already and have been for quite some time, without their oil and gas Europe would collapse. And that is no problem as long as we have good relationships.

Protect from whom? Iran as they claim? Why would Iran attack Europe? The only reason why anyone might want to attack us is our association with the US.
On 9/11 some German pacifist were holding signs at protests which said: "Hiroshima, Dresden, Hamburg, New York. Terror is coming home."
Then they wonder why Americans have a **** Europe mentality. Imagine there reactions if they get hit with a terrorist attack and we held up signs of Auschwitz.
Maybe not, their system has many flaws, not the least of which, it is unsustanable. We need a third way, not what we have, not what they have, but something different.
Although some Europen countries allow third party insurance the vast majority are covered by the government, and healthcare is government run.
Hah. And what "third way" is that? There is no third way. And if the rest of the developed world is following the bad way and the American way is worse than bad I would much rather have the bad. Keep in mind that I don't consider the universal healthcare systems of other developed countries as bad. I think many other countries have show America fine examples that we could follow. You are simply mortified of the government for some unfounded reason and will latch on to any excuse to keep it out of the healthcare system. Even if that means that 50 million Americans will go without insurance.
