just like seeing lots of flashing lights when driving down the highway... you slow down, look at the big wreck in awe, and then drive along..
Well, the point is this - using this as an excuse, the U.S. will send our military to Uganda and then *never* *leave*. Then, when this comes up as an issue in public, they can always claim that they are chasing Kony and the stupid people will be like "Oh yeah, I remember he was a bad guy" and then shut up. Killing Bin Laden took 10 years, so we can easily "waste" 10 years chasing this guy too.
The point is not that there will be a flood of anger amongst the people and they will demand that the U.S. intervene. That probably won't happen. The point is that our government has _already_ decided to intervene, and this documentary is propaganda to win public favor for it.
3 days and it's blown up and stripped to show what it really is....
It's great....The muscle behind this video thought the internet could work for propaganda but it totally backfired. Unfortunately, the people who digest this type of propaganda still outweigh the ones who are enlightened.
I dind watch the video because any political video that gets 15 million views per day is going to be obvious propoganda. I first heard about it from my fiancee's little brother who goes to public school here in England. When he told me his teacher started talking about it, I knew it was a load of bunk. Gut instinct was right. Didnt this thing have Hollywood celebrity power behind it as well?

Some celebrities backed it, naturally..Celebrities are horribly out of touch anyway..
Don Cheadle called them out on it though.. Props to him. There were a few others, I can't remember off the top.
Interesting vid. My family pointed out the Kony video to me, they seemed pretty gung ho about it.
Scam or no scam, if people stop participating in the military and refuse to take up guns, things will change.
Peace,
brian
If people stop participating in the military, then they will be conscripted. So that won't change anything except force people to join the military. The solution is to stop falling for scams such as this so easily. Of course, this video was targeted at public school children, it seems. People who are easily swayed because the public school environment doesn't encourage thinking outside the box
