Yes, he may. But, his performance as Secretary of Defense and Vice President indicate otherwise.
And, by the way, long experience doesn't necessarily equate to either success or being right. For instance, Willie Sutton was an experienced bank robber, but it didn't keep him from spending half his life in jail. Dale Earnhardt was an experienced race car driver too, but he still got killed. Bill Clinton was a long-time successful politician, but it didn't help him keep his pants up.
Dick Cheney's long service in government indicates only that he served a long time in government.
Experience means nothing. You're exactly right! That's how Obama got elected!
How could I forget?!
I disagree with your rationale in totality. Bank robbers? Race car drivers? Bill Clinton? That's the reason to not give credence to Cheney's experience? Because something *could* go wrong, they don't deserve any credibility???
But hey - using the secret service agents to hold off the Texas state troopers for hours until he sobered up was a smooth move, too.
There should be a season on lawyers. But using state troopers wasn't invented by Cheny. A former President used to use state troopers to guard the door while he had his flings while he was a Govenor.
LOL Politicians certainly do feel entitled.

You are so right. Experience should be the focal point of the 12 election. See what we get without any....?
I was thinking the same thing. Let's see, the WTC went down and 3000+ Americans died on their watch. If that isn't an "unmitigated disaster" I don't think I've ever seen one before.
Maybe it's the meds, the media could give the old senile puke a break and ignore him.
