About 300 people chanted that North Chicago's mayor should be removed during a march Saturday to protest the death of a man who suffered injuries while being taken into custody by police in the far northern suburb.
The crowd also decried what they claimed has been a cover-up during the investigation into the death of Darrin Hanna, waving signs that read: "Justice for Darrin" and "Lies and Deception cover the naked truth."
Hanna, 45, died Nov. 13, a week after an encounter with North Chicago police, who responded to a call that he was beating a pregnant woman. His death has prompted community outrage and led to the retirement of North Chicago's police chief.

I agree. The police were dealing with a man high on coke who was capable of anything. If Hannah was a rational person, he would not have beat a pregnant woman.
This was not some kid. He was a middle aged man. Those that use cocaine over a prolonged period become mentally ill..Organic damage sets in..In the brain the frontal lobe is what they call "the angelic center"...Freeze this with coke and it takes months for it to return to normal...do coke for 8 years and it's gone.
Cocaine creates pathological liars who lie to everyone and to themselves.
I knew of a guy 30 years ago that was a meth addict..who discovered that coke was better...last I heard of him was that he was dead...He was involved in a domestic dispute while high on a massive amount of cocaine..The police arrive and the crazed guy sunk his teeth into the arm of one of the cops...like a mad dog...and the cops are was being shredded..They could not get him off..They shot him half a dozen times to break his hold.
I grew up with rural hicks...of the 20 that I knew that dabbled in hard dope...17 are dead as a result.
The man in question that this thread was about...was already dead...it was not some kid experimenting with cocaine...I would guess that he was a life time user...and they all die or rot on their feet eventually...sad that his life was lost....sad that the woman with child was involved...and sad for the poor cops that had to shot him.
Nothing is for free...If you want that GREAT feeling that cocaine provides..you will in time pay the GREAT price...which apparently this guy did.
As for black activists............they should concentrate on the dealers of cocaine..the parasites that killed the man.
The title of your thread is stereotypical. Who the hell is this mythical "Black Community" you are talking about? Now granted you may have some Black Americans that may feel the need to make this man's death an issue. But most Black Americans do not condone what this man did to his girlfriend. However, it does deflect from that most of these people are concerned about how the police handled this event since there is a historic pattern of police using excessive force in situations involving Black Americans.

You should brush up on statistics and how they are applied to form characteristics about a population. Just because 100% of a population of 40 million does not agree or commit some sort of behavior does not mean you can't draw some conclusions about that population.
