BBC News - US Supreme Court to weigh Arizona immigration law

"A month after hearing a case on the Obama administration's healthcare reform, the top court will weigh the legality of Arizona's SB1070.
It requires officials to check the immigration status of those they believe to be in the country illegally.
Five other states have adopted variations of Arizona's law."

I have little doubt it will be upheld. States uphold and enforce federal law all the time, drug laws for example.

Can you see the effects of the court ruling that states cant enforce federal law? Child pornography for example could run rampid because state laws which duplicate federal would no longer be allowed, and most of these aholes are turned into the local police, not the feds.
