Last time I check, lying to a judge under oath is a crime. It's not about the money. It's about his attempt to cover up yet another hole he dig. But to do it so earlier in case is GLORY for the prosecutors. They are going to use this to the best to prove this guy and his family have little credibility. The judge could charge him with criminal contempt. It's not good to start off your case with lies when the whole country is watching. If he lied about this, why would the judge or jury believe his side of the story! That's the problem!
His family doesn't have this money, it's set aside for his legal fees. If he was destitute, the state would be providing an attorney that taxpayers would be paying for. He wants to pay his own way, which is a responsible thing to do. Good for him, wish I had some money to contribute. He doesn't deserve any of this crap. His family can't even testify in person, because of the threats. Shame on you people for stirring up this lynchmob mentality.
wow all you need to do is murder someone to raise a quarter of a million dollars.. charities seeking donations, take note.
Do you have any idea how dangerous this little game of yours is? How many people will be afraid to defend themselves, for fear of this kind of consequence.
How emboldened the criminals must be feeling right now.

Zimmerman is not a cop and Martin was not a criminal.
Zimmerman should have left the job (as instructed) to the professionals. This story is moot if that happened. Zimmerman listens to the police and Martin never attacks/defends himself against a perceived aggressor.
tell me what WE KNOW FOR SURE about the circumstances
break it down for me
PLEASE
Just what his lawyer Mark O'Mara said on Anderson Cooper, click on the links provided in other posts...
What he has stated so far does not do his client any justice, he should have evaded the question or told Anderson that it will come out in the hearing tomorrow, what he did IMO was improper and he did a disservice to his client, if he didn't know all the details of when the money was deposited in the paypal account, if or when his family knew about it while GZ was in jail or whatever, he should not have announced it to the media, it's shocking to me that a defense attorney would take a chance and put his client in a worse light than he's already in...
