JCP don't need their darn business, right now they are doing great without the MILLION IN YOUR FACE MOMS.
With their new slogans, and slashed everyday prices and special deals, they are doing great. I know quite a few managers and supervisors of many of our JCP stores.
People love their new prices, new everyday lower prices etc
Love their home decor items. Infact they just saved me over $120.00 on tuscan wall decor.. not complaining here at all.
I used to enjoy shopping a Circuit City and Borders. In both cases, when the rumors started these retail chains were failing to perform, I hoped they would pull through and even stepped up my patronage of both enterprises. However, in the end, after constant assurances from management and popular business gurus that plans were being implemented to turn these companies around, each took their turn liquidating their inventory and closing their doors forever.
That's how it happens.
At some point people will realize making a special trip to the mall to get the same cheap Chinese crap they can get at Walmart and Target is just stupid. JC Penny can no more compete with traditional discount stores than Circuit City could compete with Best Buy or Borders with PDFs.

Who put the SPLC in charge of designating which groups are hate groups?
What a bunch of idiots. As a buisness, one should never try to alienate a large group of people. Stay neutral and do not take political stances which may damage your product.
Yes, you would think it would be smarter for businesses to just remain neutral and avoid pushing any particular agenda.
I don't know why people think they should be able to control a company's decision simply because they don't like something... with that said, I predict JCP going bankrupt in the future, their 365 days of "low prices" isn't exactly low prices... their business model fails because their prices aren't cheaper than their competitors and they can't come up with a gimmick to fool you...

JC Penny is in a business slump, so to boost profits and gain new customers, they choose to promote gay marriage; a ballot initiative that looses to the popular vote in every state?
The most effective tool anti-lesbos have is to ignore and boycott Penny's.
Penny's has the right to use any lesbo they wish in their advertising.
Million Moms have the right to spend their money elsewhere.

I do think it's important to let a company know why you're boycotting them, but a simple email will suffice, and is, in fact, better because it leaves a trail.
