What is going on in that state? Just yesterday, reports were everywhere on the former long time AZ GOP official and neo-nazi that murdered 4 people, including an infant, now today we have another one.
A former "Guns & ammo" magazine editor and GOP supporter that used the magazine to push anti-Obama rhetoric, has been charged with 2nd degree murder.
"The former editor of Guns & Ammo magazine was accused of murdering a friend with a gun and ammo in Golden Valley, Arizona on Wednesday. Mohave County sheriff’s charged 53-year-old Richard Erick Venola with second-degree murder for the killing 39-year-old James Patrick O’Neill, who was found dead at the scene."
"After President Barack Obama took office in 2009, Venola used his position as editor to warn readers that they should join his “largest business competitor,” the National Rifle Association (NRA), or “those in the new administration who drool at the chance of neutering the Second Amendment will become emboldened"
So? What are you implying? That GOP members in Arizona are...what? They're all guilty for what this guy did? Their party is? A birds of a feather kind of thing?

What's really unfortunate is that we have groups like the NRA that have totally lost their way and now actively encourage blind rage and completely baseless paranoia, instead of defending second amendment rights.

I guess the conclusion to be drawn here is that when a conservative goes off the deep end, he becomes a Nazi and when a liberal goes off the deep end he becomes an anarchist. Both are dangerous. One shoots people, the other one blows up buildings.
If you are referring to JT Ready, there is no dispute that he was a neo-Nazi. He was not ashamed about it and everyone knew about it years before he snapped and killed several people. He was very open about his neo-Nazi, white supremacist views. He marched in rallies with National Socialist groups wearing full uniform, passed out white supremacist literature, maintained a white supremacist website, etc. During some of this same time period, one of the leaders of the AZ GOP served as his mentor. When he ran for political office, one of his campaign promises was to name a street after some white supremacist Nazi party leader named George Rockwell.

I wasn't referring to anyone in particular. It was a generic statement but triggered by this latest off-the-deep-end event. Ted Kazinsky (the Unabomber) was an off-the-deep-end leftie. Anders Breivik was an off-the-deep-end rightie. Both were psychotic. It happens.
There is no connection between a guy who may have gone off the rails and something he said that was perfectly resaonable at an earlier time.
the suggestion that his possible crime indites all republicans, conservatives and gun owners is pure desperation politics and prejudicial mind in action.
