Fukushima is bad, but you have to look at it relative to all the other bad things. Being eaten by a shark is bad. That's why I don't swim in the ocean. That, plus sand in my ass. And the water is full of eggs and fish poo. And those little crabs are creepy. Seriously though, the amount of radiation that's gonna hit the US is basically nil. You're more likely to die from a car accident. I feel sorry for the Japanese people, though. I really do.
duhhh,, did i say coal?? did i say oil sands?? you do know that nuclear radiation is the worst posion know to mankind,, exept for one exeption.. politicians.. by the way you should not slap you head so many times in one post it can be detrimental to your health
Though this glosses over some things. It does bring up the point about how Chernobyl is all apart of us now. aaaawwww, how sweet.
You can bet the same applies to Fukushima.
Yeah but that is as likely as our own Federal Govronment coming out and speaking about just how Bad the Hanford site is..... With it's with millions of gallons of highly Radioactive waste water washing into the Columbia River Basin..
The Hanford Story: Overview - YouTube
Maybe we should clean up our own backyard before we talk about japans massive nulcear Radioactive waste issues...
When I was working for the Dept. of Energy (1986-2000) I made several trips to the Tri-Cities area to attend scientific meetings at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland WA just South of the Hanford Site. To appreciate the scale of the nuclear burial site at Hanford you need to take the commuter flight from Pasco to Sea-Tac Airport near Seattle. The Burial mounds and tanks for liquid waste take a full 15 minutes to fly over. They stretch across the Columbia Plateau for mile after mile.
Estimares to clean this up and convert the waste to a safer form for storage and building said storage facility is as much as 2 Trillion dollars. No mater what you think of Hanford it is just warn up to dealing with places like Tomsk-7, Krasnyarsk-25 and Mayak (Chelyabinsk-40) in Russia.

Thanks for posting those reports. It's amazing how NOT inexpensive Nuclear power really is, when all aspects are calculated.
Some people that run this world are absolute idiots. Filled with unhealthy drives for power and greed. Pride is the fall of man. The love of money is the root of it's evil.
