How many state politicans are there in jail in the USA??? Those who are are just the tip of a huge iceberg. How about the American justice system??? It's no justice system at all but a very dirty compromised political system of unjustice. Even local law enforcement becomes a matter of dirty political operations and dirty politicians. Same thing with judges.

You blame the politicians, bankers, corporations and globalists. That's a load of crap. Every country has those same forces in play. It's the job of the government to make sure the interests of the people and the country trump those interests. The system and structure of the government can be such that these special interests are kept in their proper place in the overall scheme of things. It's just completely obvious that just is not the case in the USA and it never has been. Your government is not the sovereign power of the people at all but the private power of special interests. They throw the people a few bones once in a while just to keep them in line!!!!!
I think, no, I am sure that we don't need you to ever move across that imaginary line since you wouldn't want to be a part of this corrupt place. I do believe that you must stay since we are farther from the socialist utopia than you folks are and you want to live in that utopia.

You completely miss the point. Firstly, I dispute that Canada is one single bit more socialist than the USA. Both countries are a lomg long way from socialism of any definition.

At the least Canadians by and large get from the government what they desire and ask for. We have here in this country a pretty good example of what I would call, "responsible government". We are continously reforming that government at all levels to create more responsible government.

The government in the USA is not responsible government. It does not matter what the majority of the people desire because the politicians are owned by special interests. There will never be meaningful reform simpley because that would get rid of 90% of the useless existing political class.

Citizens united will go down in history as one of the very worst decisions ever made by a supreme court that is nothing more them a collection of political hacks. In order to maove towards a more just society you have to get the $$$$$$ out of politics. Citizens united does just the opposite. It's just mind boggling in it's stupidity.

Sometimes I let my imagination have free rein and wonder what would happen if we voluntarily split into 2-3 different countries. Let the chips fall where they may and see who survives and thrives and who falls to Third World country status.

It is the job of each state to make sure the interest of the people are kept. It is the job of the federal government to see that rights aren't trampled, to protect our borders and to wage war (defense.) Our government does not follow these guidelines and has usurped the power of the states at every turn. Our government is/has become currupt. The basic principles set forth in the constitution, the bill of rights are sound.

In the same paragraph you claimed my statement to be rubbish, and then basically agreed with me. The only difference is that you referred to corporations, politicians, bankers, and globalists, as "they"... <<smirk>>

Name a country that has performed better for its people over the last 225 years.
