As the Trayvon Martin case continues to play out in court, a new poll has revealed that residents of Florida stand behind their “Stand Your Ground” law. The majority of registered voters in the state of Florida still support the state’s controversial law at a margin of 56-35 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University poll.

A majority of registered voters, 56 - 35 percent, support the state's "Stand Your Ground" law that has come under recent scrutiny. Support is 78 - 15 percent among Republicans and 58 - 35 percent among independent voters while Democrats are opposed 59 - 32 percent. Men support "Stand Your Ground" 65 - 31 percent while women support it 48 - 39 percent. Support is 61 - 31 percent among white voters and 53 - 36 percent among Hispanic voters while black voters are opposed 56 - 30 percent.
Missed the "majority of Blacks opposed" part ... 56 percent is a majority in my world.
Still has not been proven Tray was the assailant in this matter.
The Grio writers can't read. I almost missed it too if I didn't read the comment section. A commentator linked up the actual poll. Read my second post it gets it right. I probably should just delete the Grio sourced article.
Nor does it have to be really the burden is on the prosecution.
If Zimmerman had stayed in his vehicle or went back when told to, probably none of this would have happen.
Zimmerman appointed himself the neighborhood security force thinking he could do whatever he wanted.
Again I say; If you were walking home at night and some single guy in a vehicle was following you then got out and started following you on foot, what would YOU do if he came after you? Have a conversation with him? Chances NO, you wouldn't.
