Whoa there, I have no disillusions and know full well that the dems are not clean on this issue. Yes my OP was rather partisan and biased but trust me, I am a staunch independent and an equal opportunity hater of all politicians, wall street gambling junkies and lobbyist no matter what side of the aisle they sit on. It just appears to me after skimming an entire page of articles on the repubs activity on this issue that they are more blatant about it....

Here's the figures for the past few election cycles:

Securities & Investment: Long-Term Contribution Trends | OpenSecrets

Year Democrats Republicans
2012 $28,930,403 $42,170,117
2010 $47,287,551 $48,576,540
2008 $96,115,628 $71,995,117
2006 $80,747,790 $69,467,394

What that suggest to me is their political support swings to the party they expect to win the most seats. As far as presidential elections go only in 1996 did they support the losing party.

^^^^ This.

Both parties are owned by Big Money. And the ownership extends pretty much world wide, with Big Money interests pulling the strings of every government in the industrialized world. Not only that but they overlap with their tentacles reaching into every country, one way or another.

You can't look at Obama and tuthfully say he isn't owned by Wall Street even more than Bush was. Whats worse, he's an abject two faced liar about it. Both parties are owned by Wall Street and inturn wall Street is owned by the real power brokers.
Right now Romney's big selling point is that he can still hopefully be less a Bush than Obama is. Obama's more a Bush than Bush was.

Otherwise back on topic to the OP yes, the GOP is completely owned by wall street and Willard is going to continue to "finish the job" Bush started by transforming american in their extreme right, corporatist/fascist reign.
Oh yes.....it's 'BASH OBAMA' time.. None of us can have a negative opinion on obama can we? You poor lad.

The GOP represents the end of Dodd/Frank....which will remove the over 800 additional regulations placed on business and wall street that stifles growth and free enterprise. But no...you see it all as kickbacks to republicans...and oh yes...'bashing obama'.

It is painfully obvious to anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together and an objective mindset that our economy and the livelihood of working class Americans was destroyed by the reckless actions of the power elite gambling junkies on Wall Street.

Yet, almost the entire GOP, including presidential hopeful Mitt Romney are doing everything in their power to keep the crooked banksters unregulated and unleashed to continue what should be deemed economic terrorism.
Of course you cite a progressive website as news. I've got OLD news for you, Goldman Sachs was Obama's 2nd largest doner in 2008. Anyone with just two brain cells knows that our entire political system has been corrupted by the likes of the Rothschilds and Rockefellers for decades.

It's mind boggling to me that you're unaware of the fact that the Democrats are also totally owned by Wall Street.

On top of that, they're also completely owned by Hollywood. Double

Um, maybe someone needs to notify you that Obama has brought most of these individuals into his cabinet.

"The GOP: Totally Owned By Wall Street "

Sure they are in some fantasy world of insane political partisan myopic foxhole.

Obama runs a treasury dept staffed by Goldman Sachs alum and has been supported by investors with money made on wall st.

Money and power have always been our rudder but it is the captain who navigates the ship.

Blindness is perhaps the greatest pathology afflicting political activism today.
