Bascailly I fail to see how jobscan be expected with a administratio that clear by its own words is anti-business> nce the liquidatin from goveranmnt verus private we see what the situtatio really is, Obama can't create jbs but he clearly can stop the policies that make a environment that stops investment and private creation of jobs.hs polcxiies have frozen veryhting from main street to wall street in private liquidity. Its the Greek plan all over again.
We're still doing a LOT better than Europe. But, we will fall, if they do, as they did, when we did.
The reason we are doing a LOT better than Europe, as we have for the last three or four decades, is because we have avoided the kind of sclerotic economic and social welfare policies with which President Obama is so infatuated.
If you would like a lower standard of living, less economic and income growth, and less employment, stand with Barack Obama in 2012.
With real unemployment figured between 15 and 25%, depending who you talk to, it is very telling, of a government figure used for citizens, that have a calculated limited time to be counted.
It is put out, by the government to fool the ignorant and prevent a panic.
It's the same methodology as when Bush was President. The only difference is that when Bush was President you defended the government's methodology.
But overall we have a GOP that holds up Obama's jobs plans then complains about unemployment.

And we failed miserably in 2001 and again in 2008 because...? But, let us keep the excuses coming...

Compared to the great period that ended in Jan 2009. Seriously, you folks aren't just clueless, but downright dangerous.

So then....you DO realize that the GOP has only been in control of the House (and not the senate) for the past 1.5 years? And you DO realize that obama had a democrat controlled congress for the first 2 years of his presidency? And you also realize that the democrats controlled both houses of congress for the final 2 years of the Bush administration?
Do you get where I'm going with this?? Now...stop and think about just how ignorant that last statement of yours makes you look.
One of the Obama advisors, I didnt catch his name, but his argument was warmer weather caused people to hire more in the last several months, that normally would have been hired this month.
But didnt we just spend hundreds of billions fixing roads and bridges? Why would we need to fix things that Obama already fixed.
well, whomever said whatever they said...it'd be nice to know. but, warmer weather in the beginning of the year did push up a lot of hiring that normally doesn't start until warmer weather. think about things like construction projects that don't start until after weather, or other types of seasonal work.
it doesn't justify the number being weak, and it doesn't change the fact that growth is still slower than needed, but it is true.
And if you think that fixing some roads and bridges means that all maintenance of those roads and bridges is done, you lack basic understanding of what the state of our nation's infrastructure is right now.
For instance, the Bayonne Bridge in NJ is about to be raised higher so that new, larger, cargo ships can pass through to the port of Elizabeth. Interstate 78 in NJ, Westbound, has been under construction for a couple of years now as they work on completely resurfacing it. I-95 in South Jersey is being expanded, even though the state doesn't even maintain it's existing number of miles of roads. New roads being built means more maintenance dollars needed in the future.
This stuff doesn't just pay for itself. Sadly, the gas tax actually should be raised, I believe it's been the same for 20 years, even though the cost of maintaining the roads has gone up due to materials costs and labor costs not being the same as 20 years ago.
I don't care if you're a Democrat or a Republican...this stuff is just common sense, and both parties ignore it.
