This is about as close to accurate as anything I've read so far.

The current economic situation started coming as far back as President Ronny. And, during the campaigning, Americans are getting SMOKE-SCREENED with JOBS. But, that's only a small part of the problem. While it's very true that jobs are required, even more important is the "RATIO OF INCOME vs EXPENSES". And, that RATIO has started going out of whack decades ago. It's only recently that it's come to a head.

Think back, to the days of "FATHER KNOWS BEST", and "LEAVE IT TO BEAVER". The husband was the breadwinner and the wife was the homemaker. When did it first began that both husband and wife needed jobs in order to make ends meet? And, increases in expenses have out-paced income ever since. Today, in too many cases, both husband and wife can work and still not make ends meet. Income and expenses are out of whack, and the way to fix the economy is to bring that ratio back into balance. The problem started a long time ago, before most of you were born.

And, actually, there is a way that the president can have a degree of control over it, but none of the current candidates have a clue how to do it.

From a business standpoint, this prez is a nightmare.
Calling stimulus dollars "wasted" is a pretty good tipoff that you have no idea what you`re talking about.

But when you think back, the average family didn't need a 3000-4000 square foot living space, homes were much smaller, sometimes with 8 kids and the whole family shared one bathroom.

Also back then each family member didn't need his or her own big screen television, dvd player, iPhone with unlimited text messaging. Nor did each family member have his or her own laptop, new car with all the options.

Imagine if people were to go back to the simple life of the Leave it to Beaver age where kids didn't have $10 for movie tickets, $400 for pop star concert tickets, money for spring break vacations and cruises? Or to eat all meals out every day? You sure don't see a shortage of people eating out and often. Today kids would think they were deprived if they had to bring a sandwich to school because they've come to expect full course hot meals with many selections.

It was wasted. There is no doubt about that -- and we have yet to begin paying all that new debt off.

Our government is like the irresponsible credit card holder who cannot control spending and just keeps raking up more and more debt and disregards the interest rates.

The cost was $266K per job though and those 3 million people did NOT get that in income. Many of those jobs were temp..when the money ran out the job ended.

OKAY. Let's dump the president then, if he is irrelevant. Let elect us a president WHO IS RELEVANT.

Obama has been a dismal economic failure and has betrayed the trust in the American public to be a politician who would "bridge" disagreements among political entities and advance the nation as a unified force. Obama, in contrast, has POLARIZED the nation, had increased unemployment, increased a divide among right vs left. and has made the US a dysfunctuional nation on the road to insolvency.

OBAMA IS A FAILURE. HIS POLICIES ARE A FAST TRACK TO INSOLVENCY OR THE BREAK UP OF THE UNION. TO PRESERVE THE UNION (two of my ancensestors were UNION SOLDIERS) we must dump this communist and have some chance at solvency of the union.

Marxist? Did you flunk out of junior high? Obozo is a right wing Plutocrat. He is in the pocket of big business. Wow you really cant be this dumb.

Sorry, nothing is further from the truth. To say that Carter did nothing to make things bad in the 70's is ignoring history.

By not prosecuting anyone in finance Obama has made the economy worse. People do not trust Wall Street right now. In part because of their actions and in part because they feel nobody will be held accountable for anything they do.

What governamt can do is create a growth environment which has backing and whose who create the jobs have condfidence in. This adminsitration has done quite the opposite of that. From wall street to main street their polciy have people sitting on the sidelines waiting for the next policy axe to fall. This administration in every speech has poundede on the Rev wright tactic of devils soley responsible for everything wrong. Unlike say Kenndy it does not ask anything of any of his supporters makig them purely victims with no control ocver their lifes. Obama is the most devisive president in my lifetime and then he wanders why from main street to wall street people are on the sidleines and waiting for the next axe to fall in policy. His enemies list grows with every speech and is i fact having a quite different effect if you loo at state house results. he is being ignored at loacl and state levels now and in congress they are agruig amoung themselves as to what compromises can be reached.
