I could see how people with mental health problems might tend to favor liberalism, but to say that liberalism itself is a mental disorder is ridiculous.
Advice: Try to get your medical information from places like the Mayo Clinic, not Michael Savage's radio program.
I am a physician. I have observed many liberals and feel strongly that they manifest behavior consistent with an affective disorder.
Being alive on this barbaric planet will eventually give all of us a mental disorder to some degree. It may be a mental disorder to fixate on the idea that homo-sexuality might be a mental disorder. Frankly - in my books it is not so much a disorder as a slight natural mutation in REAL homosexuals. It maybe a disorder in some- for instance I knew of this very large family and "uncle Eddie" used to baby sit the boys...I heard later that he used to also molest the boys...Two of the kids who were friends of mine..one who became a father at 15 - later in life, took on the gay life style...It makes me wonder if their disorder was caused and not a natural thing..
If you are intelligent you should give somethings more thought..like the person who started this thread...so bound and determined to crush what they feel is ugly..that they themselves look real ugly in the process...To the writer of this thread....there is an old French saying "Too understand is to forgive"................I really don't think the originator of this thread gives anything real original thought.
So many people take up a cause because they listened to the rant of some preacher...and agreed without thinking.................................now the answer to the question is YES it could be considered a mental disorder...as compared to the majority- but if 90 percent of the population were gay and the world was always like that- being straight would be a mental disorder...much like rich and poor people...what ever is the established norm is in order...A billionaire criminal is a good guy and a person that steals a loaf of bread is a bad guy.....

The fact is a vagina is for for penis, thats how our bodies were made, you cant argue that. No one can. If we didint have genitals than that would be a different story. I am not religious, im not political, I am just trying to make sense out of everything.

I am not saying it is like down syndrome or anything I just think there has to be a logical explanation. As I stated in my previous post....if 90% of the population was gay and me being straight...yes, I think I would have a mental disorder. No big deal, doesnt change anything about anyone, just means that the part of your brain that finds the opposite sex attractive is wired wrong.

That's not a definition. Since everybody has a combination of feelings, acts, thoughts, and perceptions, does it then mean that everybody is suffering from a mental disorder? You've basically just "defined" being human as a mental disorder.

You can't talk about homosexuality (or anything) being a mental disorder without an understanding of what a mental disorder is. I'm just trying to ascertain what "mental disorder" means to you. Your 90% comment makes it seem to me that to you "mental disorder" is a statistical concept.
Question: If you're part of the minority of human beings who are wired to be left-handed, are you wired wrong and suffering from a mental disorder?
hammertime, Yeah, your're right, bad definition. Maybe mental disorder is the wrong choice of words but its on the same path. Its like when your little and you have the different shape blocks and try to fit them into the wrong hole. Every shape has a hole that it fits into, now if for some reason you insist that the square goes into the round hole, whats not to think that there is a disconnect in the brain somewhere. Most kids will learn after awhile but some may not. You can live a perfectly normal life but you may still think that the square will fit in the circle, it does not make logical sense. Maybe that part of the brain is not wired correctly which is the point I am trying to make with being gay.
I am not trying to make it into a statistical thing, I was merely stating that I wouldnt be offended if someone told me tomorrow I had a mental disorder as long as they could prove one thing to me that led them to their decision. In the case of being gay...that would be the one thing...or in the reverse case, being straight. However, you cant argue that being straight is 100% natural. There is a reason there are male and female electrical connectors (for example). lol Look at our bodies and how they were designed.
As far as being left handed, theres no right or wrong when it comes to your dominent hand. I understand what you are saying though, but still far off from being attracted to the same sex.
I read a lot of comments about homosexuality being a mental disorder, yet I can't find a single credible source that corroborates that belief.
If you genuinely believe homosexuality is a mental disorder than surely you'll be able to provide some evidence, right?
My sister had abnormal psychology in the late 70s and then it was in those books considered a mental disorder even then.
Gay money and activism effected a change shortly there after I believe.
