I understand. If my political bloc had spent $80 million on a fishing expedition with nothing to show for it but some consensual hanky-panky and an acquittal, I'd probably try to commit it to the memory hole as well.

And if that means ignoring the CINC being present at the 50-year anniversary commemoration for D-day, I'm sure that can somehow be rationalized as deeply respectful of those veterans and families present.

I took my Grandfather to the local cemetery and we prayed for a couple of his buddies buried there that died in WWII. Then took him to lunch.
