Detroit gas station beating caught on tape - Fox 2 News Headlines

Quote:
DETROIT (WJBK) -
Security cameras recorded the violent beating of a gas station clerk in Detroit.

Hamzah Nasser runs the BP at Schoolcraft and Greenfield on the city's west side. He says a group of nine teenagers came into his store earlier this week taking items off the shelves and telling the clerk they 'owned' the station.

When Aali Williams, who was working at the time, came out from behind his bulletproof glass, he told the group to put the items back. That's when he says as many as five teens began to punch and kick him repeatedly. And it was all caught on tape.

"When I saw this video, I was shocked that he's still alive," said Nasser.

Williams, who suffered minor injuries, was able to get away back behind the counter. But the assault didn't end there. Williams says someone returned to the store a few hours later and fired shots at the bulletproof glass.

The station owner should supply a handgun and training to all of his employees.
Cops are great for taking reports and filing paperwork.

In the video the owner carries a gun and has provided one to his staff

It's in the video.

With surveillance video: Attackers beat Detroit gas station clerk; owner ready to give up and leave | Detroit Free Press | freep.com

"So he goes out to try to talk to them: 'Guys please, just put the items away and go.' And they said, 'What are you going to do about it?' So one of them shoots right back from outside and throws a glass drink right at him. And right there they attack him. He starts fighting them and nine guys jump on him. It’s horrible."

The clerk is a Detroit resident in his late 20s who's been working at the store for two years. Hours after the men left, said Nasser, someone returned and fired a shot into the bulletproof glass that protects the workers.

"People are willing to die over a candy bar or little cakes," Nasser said. "It’s not worth it, what they’re doing."

Nasser released video and pictures of the men, hoping residents will step forward to identify them. He said one patron came forward today saying she could identify the suspects. He said he is forwarding the information to police.

Holy moly he's got a pump shotgun behind that glass and he still attempted to "talk" civily to these bottom crawlers? I don't get it, the extreme opposites in morality dispayed by the thugs and this young man are absolutely astounding.

When asked if he would use the shotgun the next time he calmly states "if push comes to shove". I wonder what he would consider a push if he's had the snot beaten out of him and then later shot at while behind that glass.

This kid needs to get his azz out of deadwood and find a sane part of the world to inhabit. His charitable nature's just gonna get him killed in that cesspool.
