Don't look anything past that.

Are you correct in what you have said....I'm sure you are. But pertaining to this thread, you are wrong just for the fact that nobody will delve into what you have said, not even the OP.
Chuck, the changes saved something like a billion dollars.
One aspect however is going to increase costs by about 80million.

Most people are embarassed to be illiterate.
Oddly, people can be innumerate and not be fazed one bit.

What you are missing is that the OP and others are presenting it was an 80million total increase, having no doubt been unable to find a 5th grader with a calculator handy to help them out.

It's not even a partisan issue, it's simple math. Or should be....

Well, if you are talking about me being illiterate, I guess I am.....I'm not sure where you are going or what you are trying to prove....

The link clearly states that it "May" increase....."might increase"......

No, it's the thread title and then the initial comments.

They were claiming that the impact you are describing was the ONLY impact of the changes and thus the total pension costs would actually be going up.

It's like going to buy a new vacuum cleaner and the $10off coupon turns out to be only a $9 off coupon....and then claiming that using the coupon made the vacuum cost $1 more.

I can't abide innumeracy (not illiteracy) for the sake of politics.
How can you otherwise have an honest discussion about pension changes if you can't even get the "what happened" remotely correct?
